A Tableland of Leng is number 1 described in "The Hound" (1922) when existence located in Central Asia, where these are inhabited by the corpse-eating cult equally related in the apprehension Necronomicon. A Tableland of Tsang referenced by Lovecraft & more authors is probably the region of Leng.

In The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath (1927), the Tablel& of Leng is in the northerly of the Dreamworld, and inhabited by The High Priest Not To Be Described, who lives alone inside the prehistoric monastery. In Walter C. DeBill's short story "In 'Ygiroth", the deserted city of the title is located in the mountains surrounding Leng.

Within At the Mountains of Madness (1931), an expedition from Miskatonic University explores a tableland around Antarctica, on which it discover an ancient & apparently-abandoned city built per Elder Things. A single member of a expedition, world health organization has found information to a Tableland of Leng around ancient texts, forms the hypothesis that the tableland it is looking for is Leng.

These are interesting to note that inside each The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath and At the Mountains of Madness the walls of the buildings located atop Leng come covered by owning elaborate frescos that come disturbing to review.

Inside Stephen King's novel Needful Things, some things come said to exist as fabricated "on the plateau of Leng" - though there is no more explanations come given. A novel likewise contains more information to Lovecraft's function.

A word "leng" (冷) is as well "cold" within Mandarin and Hokkien. These are unknown whether Lovecraft knew this once he chose a title for his tableland.
